Recently, Tom Brady admitted his true cause for leaving the New England Patriots stating that it was because head coach Bill Belichick refused to offer the quarterback a long-term contract.

During a 2019 training camp, Brady nearly left during the middle of it because Belichick would not allow the quarterback to receive any long-term contract with the team. Brady still played throughout the rest of his contract then left the team to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers where he plays currently.

Throughout the 2019 season, Brady showed many signs that his time with the Patriots was over. He listed his house for sale and so did his trainer, he would skip out on team meeting to go practice alone. He questioned why he continued to play with the team despite still being on the contract.
