Georgia is home to Providence Canyon, sometimes nicknamed “Georgia’s Little Grand Canyon.” What makes it especially unusual is that its dramatic gullies weren’t created solely by natural erosion—poor farming practices during the 1800s greatly accelerated erosion in the area, eventually helping form canyons that reach roughly 150 feet deep.
