Child tax credit is one of the more sought after things in 2021. Many are left wondering when they will get their checks in the month of October. Here's when people should expect to get their checks.

Families should expect to get their child tax credit on October 15th. This only applies to those that had no errors on their tax returns and have a child or multiple children filed on their tax return. The child has to be at least 17 or younger for them to be accepted.

If a person has not filed their tax returns then they must due so by the October 15th date to still be eligible for the child tax credit. If taxes are not filed they will encounter a late penalty.
