New Hampshire is home to the shortest coastline of any U.S. oceanfront state.

While many people associate coastal states with long stretches of beaches and shoreline, New Hampshire has only about 18 miles of Atlantic coastline. Despite its small size, this short coastline includes popular destinations like Hampton and the historic port city of Portsmouth.
