President Donald Trump turned a White House moment into an impromptu field trip when he invited a group, especially the children in attendance, to follow him outside and get a closer look at ongoing construction, including a new helipad. Trump joked that while some people might complain about all the banging, he personally loves the sound of construction. He also used the moment to praise the crews doing the work, calling them hardworking Americans who are earning a living while “doing something great for America.” For the kids, it was certainly a behind-the-scenes White House experience they aren't likely to forget.
