Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen stated that there very well is a labor shortage despite showing numbers that Americans are going back to work. She stated that the reason is far more complicated.

Yellen stated that Americans seem to be going back to work but there still is a labor shortage that may not go away. She stated that this is due to many Americans making their own companies and being self employed. She added that there could be several other reasons but that is the biggest cause for the shortage.

This means that the labor shortage could very well be here to stay. There are still demands for jobs but many Americans are choosing to be self-employed.
