🕳 New Jersey Has an Official State “Dinosaur”

New Jersey was the first state to have an official state dinosaur, thanks to a 7-year-old boy's school project. In 1991, the Hadrosaurus foulkii—a duck-billed herbivore discovered in Haddonfield in 1858—was officially designated. It was also one of the first nearly complete dinosaur skeletons ever found, helping launch modern paleontology.
