You won't believe what he did.
Two-time All-Pro cornerback Stephon Gilmore is moving away from the New England Patriots in a shocking move this week. Gilmore had a 5 year, 65 million dollar contract with the team that ended this year.
His new team will be the Carolina Panthers which traded a 6th round draft pick for the player. Gilmore most certainly got a win in this situation. He is moving from a 1-3 team up to a 3-1 team that is showing signs of a playoff run. The patriots however did not get the good end of this trade. They have lost one of their defensive captains heading into this season.
This also means that veteran quarterback Tom Brady will be going against Gilmore in future games due to them being in the same division. This also means the rivalry for the top spot between the Panthers and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers has gotten far more competitive with this new trade.
