Did You Know!
Portland Has the World’s Smallest Official Park 🌱
Portland is home to Mill Ends Park, recognized by the Guinness World Records as the smallest official park in the world.
- It measures just 2 feet across (452 square inches total) — about the size of a flowerpot!
- The park was created in 1948 by journalist Dick Fagan, who jokingly declared it a park after a vacant hole for a light pole was left empty near his office.
- Today, it’s maintained by the city and sometimes decorated for holidays, weddings, or even leprechaun-themed events.
