President Donald Trump unveiled an ambitious vision for America’s future in space, announcing that NASA is developing a nuclear-powered interplanetary spacecraft for a mission to Mars in 2028. Trump said the spacecraft could be among the first in a massive American “Star Fleet,” predicting that advances in technology could eventually make space travel nearly as common as ocean travel is today.
