Did You Know!
Kansas is home to the world’s largest hand-dug well. Located in Greensburg, the Big Well was completed in 1888 and measures an incredible 109 feet deep and 32 feet wide. Workers dug it entirely by hand using picks, shovels, ropes, and pulleys. Today, it’s a popular historical attraction that visitors can descend into!
