Did You Know!
Arizona Has a Waterfall That Looks Like Chocolate
One of Arizona’s most surprising natural wonders is Grand Falls, often nicknamed “Chocolate Falls.”
Located northeast of Flagstaff on the Navajo Nation, this massive waterfall stands approximately 185 feet tall, making it taller than Niagara Falls.
What makes it especially unusual is its muddy brown color. During periods of heavy rain or snowmelt, sediment carried by the Little Colorado River gives the rushing water the appearance of flowing chocolate.
Even more surprising, the waterfall can be completely dry for much of the year, making this remarkable natural phenomenon a rare sight!
